Red Haired Girl

Inspiration for this illustration came from Klimt and his art, which works the foreground and background simultaneously. In some ways it speaks to me of Matisse and his art. The colors are often non traditional, bright and bold.

Sketch today

I like to draw on canvas. It offers texture, a way to express my art without feeling confined to paper or board. Today will work in colored pencils and begin the process of layering the colors.

Sketch. Done quickly on my iPad I find that the quicker the initial sketch, the more success I have in keeping it. Without hesitance. The overthinking can ruin your creativity.
